About FormsByState

Most "free" legal-template sites work the same way: you spend twenty minutes filling in a form, click Download, and meet a 7-day trial that quietly turns into $35–$50 a month. The documents themselves are often generic, missing the disclosures your state actually requires.

FormsByState was built to fix both problems. Every template is generated from a rule set for each of the 50 states and DC — deposit caps, notice periods, usury limits, mandatory disclosures — with the statute cited on the page so you can check it yourself. And the price is a number you see before you type anything: $9 or $19 once, or a 7-day pass that ends by itself.

Documents are generated in your browser, so what you type stays with you. The forms are available in English, Spanish and Russian; the legal document is always produced in English, the language courts and agencies use.
