How to use this Lease Renewal Agreement in Rhode Island
Start the renewal conversation 60–90 days before the lease ends; in Rhode Island no cap; 30 days' written notice for rent increase (60 days if tenant is 62 or older) (R.I. Gen. Laws § 34-18-16.1). Have every adult tenant sign, and keep the signed renewal with the original lease.
