How to use this Move-In / Move-Out Checklist in Wisconsin

Walk the unit together before any boxes come in. Mark every item, write defects in words, and take dated photos of each one — in Wisconsin landlord must give the tenant a check-in sheet; the tenant has at least 7 days to note defects, and may request a list of deductions charged to the previous tenant (Wis. Admin. Code ATCP 134.06(1)).

Both sign at move-in and each keeps a copy. At move-out, repeat the walk with the same sheet, fill the second column, and send the deposit or itemized deductions within 21 days.
